WAICY offers four tracks to showcase creativity, innovation, and AI skills. Students may choose one:
Create a project that presents an AI-driven solution to a real-world problem. Students are encouraged to propose innovative AI-based solutions that address challenges in areas such as health, environment, education, or social impact.
Based on this year's theme, participants are invited to create digital artworks using text-to-image AI tools such as DALL∙E, Midjourney, or Stable Diffusion.
Leverage AI tools to produce a short video that addresses a real-world problem or delivers a compelling message, using animation, voiceovers, or storytelling techniques.
Instruct an AI to adopt a specific domain of expertise using popular Large Language Models such as ChatGPT, Bard, and others. Participants may also develop applications (e.g., virtual tutors, knowledge bots) using these models.
Each track is designed to highlight different aspects of AI creativity and technical skill, allowing students to showcase their unique strengths and interests.

Projects are scored across two equally weighted areas, each contributing 50% to the final evaluation.

Technical implementation quality, functionality, and overall project completion.
Problem clarity, creativity, originality, ethics, and communication

Innovative approach, unique solutions, and creative thinking demonstrated in the project.
Ethical considerations in AI use and effective communication of ideas and solutions.
